The Social Committee's Annual General Meeting is being held at the Village Hall on the 18th November.
The meeting starts at 7:30pm, please come along and support the committee that does so much for the activities in the Village.

Don't forget the Children's Halloween Trick or Treat walk through the Village this Friday. The group meet up at the Village Hall at 5:30pm and walk as a group around the Village Trick or Treating as they go.
All Children must be accompanied by an adult and it's a good idea to bring a torch and wear warm clothing.
Hopefully by now the October edition of the Village Newsletter should have been posted through your door. For those not fortunate enough to receive a paper copy of the newsletter you can read it here. Or download it here.
The newsletter does have one error that needs to be pointed out. The Children's Halloween Trick or Treat night says that Children under 8 need to be accompanied. In fact all children attending need to be accompanied by an adult. As you might imagine walking down the road in the dark will require careful supervision. The event is usually well attended so please bring your Children along and join in the fun. If you wouldn't mind the Children stopping at your house, please keep a watch out for the group as they move up the Village.
As you can see from the Newsletter the prizes for the Grand Christmas Draw are certainly worth the effort of buying a ticket. The tickets will be available at any of the Autumn events ready for the draw to be made at the Christmas Bingo on the 13th December.
One last point, the Barroway Drove Social Committee have their AGM on the 18th November at the Village Hall. Please come along and support the Committee that does so much for the Village. Without the committee there wouldn't be any of the activities run throughout the year.

Today has seen a much needed site update. The photos of the Flower, Produce and Craft Show are finally up here. Sorry for the delay I've been suffering technical difficulties. Assuming laziness is classed as a technical difficulty? You might not see your entry for the show in the photographs, I've limited the number of photographs to 100 from the few hundred taken on the day so it's limited to class winners.
We're nearly at 500 photographs on the Gallery, if you have any you want to submit either register and upload them or drop us an email at webmaster@barrowaydrove.org for help. Don't forget we can scan images for you if you only have them in hard copy.
The second update is on our History site (click the History button above or here). We've been given 130 photographs for the site, the first wave of updates are on the Barroway Drove School page and the Village Hall page.
Take a look at the site and let us know what you think. Don't forget you can update and add pages to the History site yourself. If you aren't confident with editing Wikis drop us an email at webmaster@barrowaydrove.org and let us know what you want edited.
Can you name any of the people in the photographs or perhaps help us track down the year in which they were taken? Please let us know.

The Downham Toy Library are holding an open afternoon at the Town Hall on the 27th September. The event is running from 1pm until 3pm.
All ages are welcome so go along, have a coffee and browse their catalogues.
They'll also be at the Town Hall this Saturday (13th September) for the Community Fayre, the Fayre starts at 10am.
