It would be nice to have our own diary for letting other members know about our hobbies, interests and sharing tips etc?

There are a few of options here.

I could open up more blogs on the site (the front end as you arrive at barrowaydrove.org is a blog) or I can create more folders in the forum here.

As you have an interest in gardening I could create a section on the forum to specifically discuss gardening.

Don't forget if you get some interest in a gardening club you are more than welcome to a section on the web portal.  It will allow you to maintain the web pages from your browser in a word processor like interface.

We also have the option of sub domains so it's possible for me to set up gardening.barrowaydrove.org or something along those lines.
